Biography
Dario Savron has performed as soloist in Europe, Argentina, USA, Canada, Australia, and with chamber groups and orchestras, among which the Royal Concertgebouw of Amsterdam, the Radio Chamber Orchestra of Holland, the Arena of Verona, Opera House of Rome, the Divertimento Ensemble, Ex Novo Ensemble.
He premiered several pieces by renowed composers (U. Chin, L. Cori, F. Donatoni, I. Fedele, F. Nieder, S. Sciarrino, A. Solbiati, a.o.). He was guest artist at SoundSCAPE Festival. He is also active as a composer, and his compositions were performed in several venues and festivals in Europe (among others, at La Fenice Theatre in Venice, Auditorium Il Sole 24 Ore in Milan, International Biennale of Contemporary music in Koper – Slovenia), Canada, USA. His music is published by Nuova Stradivarius, Milano. He composed and recorded music for documentary films (Living stone, Pappenstory, Cup of Coffee). He recently published the solo CD “Mask” (Stradivarius Milano) with music for solo marimba by F. Donatoni, S. Sciarrino, P. Billone, F. Nieder and D. Savron.
Dario Savron is often invited as jury member in international competitions and he has been teaching many master classes at Universities and Conservatories in Europe, Australia, Canada, and in the USA. He is currently Professor of Percussion at the Conservatory “G. Tartini” in Trieste.
