Biography
Winner of prestigious prizes in international competitions, the cellist Fernando Caida Greco unanimously obtained the first absolute prize at the “V. Bucchi” Competition in Rome 2002, a recognition that led him to perform for the most important concert seasons.
Passionate scholar of cello treatises, he performs music from all eras on original instruments, using cellos in original conditions and set up in gut strings even for the 20th century repertoire and contemporary music, strictly following the performance practice of the classical Italian school. He regularly holds conferences and masterclasses on the subject.
Fernando Caida Greco is Chamber Music teacher at the “U. Giordano” of Foggia. He plays a C.A. Miremont from 1880 which alternates with a Bruno Montagne from 2017.
